zerg

By Dave Spohn, About.com

Definition: A zerg is a large group of players who rely on their sheer numbers, rather than their superior game skills, to win. It goes without saying that if you are seriously outnumbered in an online battle, you are almost sure to lose no matter how valiantly you fight. In these cases you always have the comfort of knowing that you were zerged by the enemy. The term comes from the game StarCraft, where it is one of the game's playable races. In StarCraft the Zerg is an alien race that uses swarms of weak, quickly produced, low cost units to overwhelm the opposition.
