Definition: Real-time strategy, or RTS, is a category of strategy game that is played in real-time. There are no "turns" in a true RTS - players all move at once. Examples of RTS games include the Warcraft series, Starcraft, the Command and Conquer series, and the Age of Empires series. Games don't always fit neatly into categories; some strategy games have both real-time and turn-based components.
