Blizzard makes several dearly beloved PC titles, including the Diablo series, the Warcraft and Starcraft RTS series, and the ever popular World of Warcraft MMORPG.

Bungie Studios

The company responsible for Halo and Halo 2.

ChickenSoft

Chicken Soft is a small games development group focusing mainly on freeware Java games.

Electronic Arts

The world's largest publisher of electronic games and an enormous conglomerate of development houses. EA is responsible for the Madden Football series, the Sims series, and a host of other leading titles.

id Software

Since the release of Commander Keen in 1990, id has revolutionized the computer game industry with titles such as Wolfenstein, Doom, and Quake. Exciting graphics and breakthrough FPS technologies have become their trademark.

International Game Developers Association

The IGDA is an independent, non-profit organization established by game developers to foster the creation of a worldwide game development community. Their site is an excellent source of information for anyone interested in working in the video game industry.

LucasArts

As well as making movies, George Lucas is a big player in the computer game industry, mostly on account of games with a "Star Wars" theme, but some of us remember Secret Weapons of the Luftwafe.

Multi-User Entertainment Limited

The software company that produces MUD2 and the MUDDLE programming language and development system, both of which are available for commercial licensing.

Red Storm Entertainment

Developers of the popular Ghost Recon shooter series.

Sony Online

Producers of EverQuest, one of the most popular massively multiplayer online games in North America. Definitely a company to watch for Internet gamers.

Turbine Entertainment Software
