Windows 8 Launches

Microsoft has officially launched Windows 8, the latest version of their Windows OS, and odds are good that you've already heard about it, or even tried one of the pre-release candidates yourself. It features a new touch screen interface which they are hoping will give it functionality on a wide variety of devices. It also ties into the Windows Store in some ways that both developers and users aren't thrilled about, as we discussed in an earlier article on the subject.
