A while back SOE decided to embrace the free-to-play approach in a big way and revealed their intentions to apply it to all the games they offer. Vanguard is among their last subscription titles, and it making the transition this summer. A recent letter from the game's Producer provides some more details on how F2P will be implemented for Vanguard, and they've also provided a FAQ on the subject. DC Universe Online, EverQuest, EverQuest 2, and several other SOE games have already made the transition. They've committed to it for upcoming releases such as PlanetSide 2 as well.
