Game Review Scores and Metacritic

Game review scores still manage to stir up quite a bit of controversy, especially when one falls well outside the average for a particular title. And the averages themselves, conveniently compiled by Metacritic, are often taken as definitive proof of a game's quality, or lack thereof, and the content of the reviews goes largely ignored. Today we wade into the long-running debate about whether game review scores have become meaningless.
