Game Over For Shadowbane

The word on the official Shadowbane site is that this 6-year-old MMORPG will be closing its doors on May 1, 2009, after going free-to-play back in 2006. They don't offer an explanation for the closure, but they do wrap up a bit of the game's lore. Although I remember a couple of good sieges during the time I spent with it, the graphics engine always seemed years behind what the competition was offering.
