Tetris never gets old, and now the classic game has a spiffy new Web site where you can play online. Even better, they've added several new game modes, including multiplayer for 2 or 5 players. The Tetris Friends Online site is still in beta, but also has high scores and leaderboards, and it looks like they intend offer some social networking features as well.

I dont think that this site is truly multiplayer. Correct me if I’m wrong, but you’re allowed to pause in the middle of a game, which leads me to think that you’re actually playing against computers
There are both single-player and multiplayer game modes on the site. In the 5-player Sprint and the 2 and 6-player Battles you are playing against other players.
I know it’s weird to have a pause function in a multiplayer game, and it does appear to stop the clock. I assume that it only pauses it for you, not for everyone, and their moves are all recorded while you are paused, and then played back in sync with your moves when the game is unpaused, or something like that. It is a neat trick though.

How about when you hit the finish button and say you finished at 3 min, the rest of your competition shows the time they finished but it shows, 3.5 min, 4 min etc. That makes me believe it is computers.
