Google Launches Lively
Wednesday July 9, 2008
Determined to leave no corner of the Internet untouched, Google has launched the beta of Lively, a mixture of social networking site and 3D chat room. Users create avatars and design rooms, which then serve as meeting places where you can chat, share pictures, and stream video. They don't currently have any games you can play, but I'd wager that they're included in the plan for future upgrades to the service. Lively is built around Google's Gtalk program and right now it's only available to Windows users with IE or Firefox.
