Top PC Video Cards for Gaming

Things have really been heating up in the video card market lately, with ATI's new Radeon HD 4800 cards and Nvidia's GTX 200 cards arriving within weeks of each other. The GTX 280 is now the fastest single GPU on the market, but at around $600, only the most dedicated gamers will be interested, especially when a GeForce 9800 GX2 performs about as well for a lot less money. ATI has taken a somewhat different approach, aiming for a competitive price/performance ratio rather than trying to take the top spot for speed. Selling for as little as $200, the HD 4800 cards appear destined to put ATI back in the game.
