Line Rider

Thursday November 2, 2006
I've received a few enthusiastic emails about the Line Rider Beta on DeviantArt, which people have apparently been having a lot of fun with. It's a very simple free Flash toy that lets you draw a track for a sledder and watch gravity do its thing as he tries to traverse your course. It was created as a project for an illustration class, and now people are recording their rides and posting them on YouTube. One of the best I've seen so far is Sledtronic, which really puts the rider through some extreme moves before the tragic ending.

Update: People are really crazy about this thing. There are now thousands of Line Rider videos posted on YouTube. Ultimate Line Rider, Line Rider Extreme, and Various Stunts are a few more worth checking out. Note that DeviantArt also has a standalone version of Line Rider which might give you better performance.

Nice game! I am currently using a Freeware Desktop port of this fun-packed game, this very small wrapper makes it very easy to access and play this game.
