Looking Back at Battlefield 2

Tuesday October 3, 2006
Lars Gustavsson, the creative director of the Battlefield franchise, recently spoke to CVG about the development process behind the games. They touch on game modes, infantry combat, the ranking system, and of course, bugs. "We were off to a really bad start when the first patch created as many bugs as it solved. Our testing process hadn't been worked out; the way we go from bug-fixing to verifying. You spend two-and-a-half years of your life working hard to make a good game, so to then have part of the game's reputation tainted with bugs was upsetting." I'd still like to see something akin to Titan Mode added to BF2.
