Savage: The Battle for Newerth Free

Friday September 1, 2006
If you want to get into something different over the weekend, I encourage you to download Savage: The Battle for Newerth. S2 has made the game available free of charge, as they are currently working on the sequel, Savage 2: A Tortured Soul. Savage is an impressive blend of FPS and RTS where one player on each side assumes a commander role that allows them to manage your team's resources. It's multiplayer only, there is no single-player component to the game. The Savage downloads page has installation instructions, as well as the CD Key for the free version, which is a string of 0's. The 351 MB download is also mirrored on 3D Gamers and Gamer's Hell. (Thanks Blue's News.)
