WoW Outdoor PvP Objectives Preview

The next World of Warcraft patch is going to add PvP objectives to 2 of Azeroth's persistent zones: the Eastern Plaguelands and Silithus. Blizzard has revealed some of the details on how these new objectives are going to work. The Eastern Plaguelands will have 4 towers, each of which can be captured by the faction that has the most players tagged for PvP close to the tower. In Silithus the PvP objective involves collecting and turning in a new substance called silithyst. Buffs for all faction members in the zone are the only rewards mentioned so far. I can easily imagine this turning into the mother of all zergs. I hope people don't stop playing battlegrounds because they're still one of my favorite parts of the game.
