Warcraft the Movie

The word from several sources, including The Hollywood Reporter and The New York Times, is that Blizzard is working on a deal with Legendary Pictures to make a movie set in the Warcraft universe. The movie and video game industries seem determined to create some sort of union between these forms of media. Like a lot of gamers, I'm of the view that games made into movies and movies made into games are usually a bad idea. I guess you could argue that there have been some decent games based on "Star Wars," but are there any films based on games that don't suck?

A friend of mine also mentioned that Advent Children was good, but I haven’t seen it yet. I guess they had to get one right sooner or later.
Warcraft lore is one of the oldest game storys and its definetly epic one and deserves a good movie. Its true that mostly all game to movie projects failed. They failed cuz they were made for gamers and trying to copy the game to movie, also made by directors in start of big movie career and mostly not familiar with the game itself. Advent child is a nice good looking animation with good story, but again hard to understand if you are not FF fan. Who every is a fan of Blizzards titles will know that they dont make bad projects, even if it means to cancel them after months or years of production cuz they think they are not good enough. So i dont think Blizzard will allow that Warcraft movie fail or they will just stop the project if its not good enough or postpond it until its damn good.
Max Payne- Computer game
Hitman- Computer game
Top Gun- NES game
All were made into movies after the games came out.
