MTV Buys Xfire for $102 Million

The popular game server browser and IM client Xfire is to become a wholly-owned subsidiary of MTV Networks. They've added some great features to Xfire since it launched a couple years ago, and their network has balloned to 4 million users. "What does the acquisition mean to you? It means that Xfire is now backed by one of the world's leading creators of programming and content across all media. It means that Xfire will continue to grow and enhance your gaming experience."
