Guild Wars Factions Preview Event

Anyone with Guild Wars interested in Factions, the upcoming stand-alone expansion for the game, can try out some of new features during this weekend's Factions Preview Event. Alliance battles will allow teams of players to gain control of parts of the world for their faction. "The combat is 12 versus 12 consisting of 3 groups of 4 players each playing against one another either collectively or as individual battle squads. The world map will visibly change as alliances conquer more of Cantha with their victories and the winners will be recognized within the game." If you haven't purchased Guild Wars, you'll need to preorder Factions or get a friend who has the game to invite you in. The event is already underway and ends at midnight Pacific time on March 26th.
