World of Warcraft Hits 5 Million Mark

Blizzard's latest press release announces that World of Warcraft has broken the 5 million customer barrier worldwide, a little over a year since its launch in North America. "With a strong presence across Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America, World of Warcraft has quickly become the world's most popular MMORPG. Most recently, the game was launched in the regions of Taiwan, Macau, and Hong Kong on November 8, 2005." I wonder how many are disenfranchised Star Wars Galaxies and Asheron's Call 2 players.
