Asheron's Call News

Turbine made a couple of announcements this week pertaining to expansions for Asheron's Call and Asheron's Call 2. The bad news is that Throne of Destiny, an expansion for the first Asheron's Call, has been delayed. "The feedback we got from the players was great, very detailed and specific and delivered with tough love. What they told us is that we had some changes to make. And we took that feedback to heart and have started to make some of those changes, but it is going to take some time." The new launch date is July 18. On a brighter note, Asheron's Call 2: Legions, the first expansion for the sequel has gone gold and should hit retail outlets in May. It will be interesting to see if Turbine can reverse the downward trend in subscriber numbers these MMORPGs have experienced lately.
