PlayNC Store Opens

Tuesday April 12, 2005
If you prefer to buy your games online and download them, your options are growing. NCsoft just kicked-off their new PlayNC Store, where you can purchase and download Lineage 2, City of Heroes, and, after its release, Guild Wars. CD versions of the games, as well as t-shirts and strategy guides, are also available. I'm much too lazy to visit retail outlets on a regular basis, so I really like this concept. Nevertheless, it seems to me that the game should cost less if you download it because there is no packaging or shipping, yet this is rarely the case. Hopefully we will someday see these savings passed on to consumers.
