Battle For Middle-earth Patch Plans

Saturday April 9, 2005
The official The Lord of the Rings: Battle For Middle-earth site has been updated with news about the upcoming patch (1.02) for the game. Unfortunately, it has been delayed until later this month, but, on the bright side, they are going to fix the disconnect issue in the GameSpy ladder system. "More importantly though, it will install new disconnect code into our Gamespy ladder system so that any time a cowardly fool disconnects in a match with you, he will get an automatic loss, and you will get an automatic win. This should cure many of your frustrations and dynamically change the ladder rankings to reflect a more competitive and fair playing atmosphere." I'm a little surprized this wasn't corrected in the first patch.
