Cyber X Games Stumble

Touted as the largest video gaming competition in history with cash prizes totalling $600,000, the Cyber X Games in Las Vegas encountered some serious technical snags that led to the cancellation of various tournaments late Saturday. The Inquirer has details on the assortment things that went wrong, not least of which was the release of a 3 MB patch via Valve's Steam network in the middle of a Counter-Strike gaming session, further demonstrating the need for a LAN only version of CS.
