Turbine Entertainment on a Roll

Thursday December 18, 2003
Not only has Turbine recently secured $18 million in financing from Highland Capital Partners, Polaris Venture Partners and the company’s existing investors, it is also buying the Asheron’s Call franchise from Microsoft. Turbine developed Asheron's Call after the two companies formed a partnership back in 1996. If that isn't enough, they have also revealed plans for another expansion pack for AC1, their first MMORPG, which is still popular. Turbine's other current projects include Middle-Earth Online and D&D Online.
