Doom Turns 10

Wednesday December 10, 2003
Doom could well be the most influential video game in history, and it was one decade ago today that this unforgettable title was unleashed on the world. Like plenty of others, I have fond memories of LAN parties made possible by Doom's ability to handle 4 players at a time. GameSpy is celebrating the anniversary with a full week of Doom articles and nostalgia. If you want experience Doom once again, you can download it for free (Windows, 4.3 MB) from Doomworld, FileFront, FilePlanet, or PCGameWorld. Tucows has a Linux version.
