Stolen Half-Life 2 Playable Build

Tuesday October 7, 2003
Only 5 days after the source code for Half-Life 2 stolen by hackers, a playable version of the game has appeared on the Internet. Although there was a certain amount of downplay concerning the significance of the theft over the last few days, it's now clear that the culprits were able to obtain a considerable amount of the artwork, game maps, and other components of the highly-anticipated shooter. Today CNN Money had a story on the subject, and it looks like this could push the release date of Half-Life 2 back as far as spring 2004.
