Half-Life 2 Source Leak

Gaming news sites had a busy day yesterday after Gabe Newell of Valve Software announced on HalfLife2.net that the source code for Half-Life 2 had been leaked. The story was carried on Slashdot, Fark, and a host of other sites, rendering the HalfLife2.net forums pretty much unreachable.
